Default Custom CP Blades

Hi

I waiting for a honey bee 2 heli from ebay, and i think that I will need some spare main blades...

Because I'm from Poland I have so far to shops where I can buy new ones.
I rarely get ones by friend in Usa, but He take a 10% tax.... than I have a question :

Does anybody tried to make Her own colective pitch blades ??How ??

What material i may use ? Balsa wood , carbon fiber ??

Keep in touch

If you can get hold of some, get some hummingbird cp blades, they are far better than the stock honey bee 2 blades and a bit more resilient to crash damage....

I've also got me some ms hornet carbon blades for when I can actually fly the thing...

http://www.angelfire.com/blues/heli_project/blades.htm this is a site that tells how to make the whole heli with a page on making blades. Hope this helps. Just started making a set. I'm going to try thicker blades and thinner blades as well as fiberglassing a set and carbon fibering a set. I'm also going to try making a set with a foam core and carbon cover then use acetone to melt the foam out to make hollow carbon blades. Just looped my honeybee2 last saturday and i'm stoked. going for inverted flight this saturday.

Ahes to ashes dust to dust If I don't risk crashing my heli will rust
