My personal fun micro 2001 version with improved MIA Robin 280 molded parts, MIA G10 Universal Frame/TUFF Strut LG and new thinner longer MIA woodies. Although I have more elabotrate great helis from other companies, I cannot get away from this heli, and I think it has to do with the fact I don't the time to spend on setting up more complex mechanics. This heli uses the MIA PARH (Pitch Adjustable Rotor Head) Produced in limited quantities for the Robin 280. It allows me to set a desired pitch quickly and easily by simply adjusting the blade holders and locking it in place with the locking nut part of the head design.

Nothing fancy here, just a #4. I am a beginner, starting out with this fixed pitch heli. Having a blast with it! [sm=thumbup.gif]

Some day I will buy a real micro heli. In the meantime, here is the heli-hanger.
Flying: one of the two #4's, #35 and #45. I like the #45 the best so far.
Almost flying: 22a
parts: the other #4 and the 22d
The good heli's

Here is the Apache body that I just got. It is made from foam and seems to be pretty sturdy and light. This is the same heli that I have the grey Huey on (pics of the Huey are on this post). It fit onto the Blade with about 45 minutes of trimming. I actually think that it makes the Blade a little more stable when it is in the air....although it might just be my imagination. I am probably going to paint it all black soon. I can't decide if I want to keep it camo...[>:] What do you guys think?

Nothing special here, just a mostly stock Eco-8 with a mangled tail boom (got a new one for it, but I'm gonna milk this one for all its worth).
Once I get a bit better at flying I'll get some "real" upgrades for it.

Yeah it's just a painted stock boom, I'm gonna do the little landing skids too whenever I get a chance.
At Walmart they sell this paint (Duplicolor Metalcast, its in the automotive department) that gives an anodising effect when used over shiny metal, works pretty good I'd say. I've used it on some various R/C car parts too. It comes in a few different colors, red, blue, green, purple, and maybe some others.
One day I'm gonna airbrush the canopy black/metallic red to match, I just haven't decided what kind of paintjob I'm gonna do, probobly just a fade.

It's the cameras eyes, rather. When things are spinning at a really high rate of RPM, it has a wierd tendeancy to do that. You'll notice that in some pictures it even looks as if the blades them selves are bending in flight. Really cool effect! [8D]

LOVE that apache, now THAT"s a real heli , too bad you don't have real missles. oh yes it probably makes it more stable as it takes a slightly higer head speed to lift you off.

Polygoo, beautiful pictures what camera did you use to take those shots?
I haven't shown off this heli since 2003 when I first exposed it on the www, but it is one of my favorite Palm Size helis. Up until recently, it used a unique customized RC equipment which made it a little too expensive for its tiny size.

is that yours? woah that's small it almost looks like it's 3D! I'd really like one of those, but I've got to save my money for mine, as well as for building another hovercraft...[>:] I'll probably use heli tech on the rear fan for turning and reverse.

I like my bird a lot more now! heh I could NEVER fly that beast around my house, it's just so, so, BIG!
ok tell me if you notice any thing different about my heli besides the tail fin paint job (and will it make much of a difference if it stays this way)
well I guess I can't show it off right now, maybe in 2-3 hours... the camera isn't anywhere to be found. oh well I'll go ahead and tell you anyways. I switched the side that the tail rotors are located so they're on the left instead of the right. the tail fin does kinda get in the way but it isn't blocking TOO much. what do you think? will it work? it sure does make my heli look different now, and it is unique.
