shogun belt conversion troubles
All
I purchased a belt conversion kit off of Ebay for my Shogun 400 and having problems with the teeth of the belt contacting the motor pinion gear. It seems the 2 guide pulleys mounting points were manufactured too close to each other and guides the belt too close to the pinion. Has anyone had the same issue and what might be the fix, besides getting another aircraft?

RE: shogun belt conversion troubles
Because you've got the belt-drive in you don't need a motor pinion so long. I simply cut the pinion down to half length and rounded of the top edge before loctiting back on motor shaft. Provided plenty of clearance for the belt to run freely

Thanks for the info. Your help would probably have saved me some more money. Thanks again and I will give that a shot.
