Default Blade CP pro vs. Honey bee King 2

I am looking for a really nice helicopter that is capable of 3D flying. The two that I am really looking at are the E-flite Blade CP pro and the Esky Honey Bee King 2. I would like to know your opinion on the one that has a better design, better preformence, and better durability. I believe my lhs carries parts for both heli's. I am pretty sure this is the size I am looking for, I definantly don't want anything smaller.

All comments and opinions are greatly appreciated, thank you.

Definitely the king2, but you'll want to upgrade the motor to brushless, even after that it will still be less than the cp pro.

King 2 is belt driven, Blade cp pro has a tail motor
king sturdier frame, blade frame will break if you look at it funny
king separate receiver, esc and gyro, blade cp pro 3in1
king much more stable, blade very twitchy

on the other side

blade as 2.4ghz radio, king is 72mhz fm

Seeing how the HBK2 has all of those other advantages the radio is no big deal. Do you have experience with both heli's, I am just asking because experience tells it all.

Thanks for the help, anyone else?

Actually I just looked agian and saw that the Blade CP pro come with a fm radio, not 2.4.

So I guess I can't go wrong with the HBK2. Right?

The new pro 2 comes with the 2.4 Ghz radio, but you're much better off with the HBKII! Read the last 2 pages of this thread.

Thank you very much that was exactly what I was looking for. Looks like I have to save up for the HBK2.

I had the older blade cp and I do currently have the king2. There just is no contest. If you compare them side to side you'll see why. Once you get the king2, take it into the lhs and compare it to the blade cp / + / pro... they are just trying to suck more money out of ppl without having to invest the time and money to make a decent 300 size heli by offering these "new" versions...

I wouldnt even worry about 3d as of right now. You've never flown a heli so thats the last thing you should be worried about being able to do. My vote goes to the K2.

The only reason I am looking for a 3D capable heli is so I can keep it for long without having the urge to upgrade. I will not be 3D flying for very long but it is good to know that when I am ready I don't have to get a whole new heli.

PedeBeater,

Get the HBK2, you'd never be sorry. I've had a ton of helis and I really love this one. Check out Jaghobbies, they have the HBK2, with brushless and ESC for right at $200. Here's the site, and he's great to deal with.. Also, there are tons of upgrades you can do down the road if needed. Lot's of CNC parts available.
