I just finished with the canopy and 2 more pics in my gallery and thought you might like a quick look at it. Not bad for a first attempt.

I did one like that with teeth inspired by an alien head canopy. Not sure what gave me the idea to cut the teeth out i was just bored one day.

I also did one in yellow.

I have just finished trimming this out with a 4 blade flybarless head from RCAerodyne. I will post a couple of pics real soon. I was grooming this one for the 4 blade head. It takes some getting used to to hover and fly...LMAO!...2 new pics of the 4 blade in my gallery...Thanks for the interest!

Bower: I just notice, you cut the teeth out. It is a really good painting(spray?) Good idea for cooling..

JJ: Must show us some video on this 4 blades rotor head. It is the first and only flybarless Gazaur..

Bower must be better with his hands than I am, his cutting the teeth out is a Great Look! Sta Rc, I was stationed at Nellis for 3 years, I flew out there with a buddy of mine that first got me interested in flying back in '73. He was a good friend. As far as the video goes I have no way of doing that. I must admit that hovering and tooling around a bit is my extent of flying. I bought the head from RCAerodyne for a 450 heli and could'nt keep the tail steady enough to controlwithout using the 4 blade tail from HeliArtist. The Mars is long enough to keep the 4 blade steady. I am however going to order the carbon tail boom as it is 40mm longer than stock boom, even more control for my unsteady hovering!...LMAO! This is a very stable platform for my kind of slow flying.

I used an exacto blade, a small jewlers file and a dremel. I wanted the fangs a little larger but i slipped and cut one off a little short.

yeeehawww! I'M BACK! oh yeah baby

after a 4 months hiatus from the gazaur's....I'm getting the Poseidon 480 tommorrow night.

I orginally planned to do a cheap build with cheap electronics on a Dragonus 2. Instead of getting cheap electronics I went and got all high-end electronics. The Dragonus had so much vibration that I decided to scrap that project and Get the Poseidon480 back into my fleet.

The details:

Poseidon 480 CF kit: http://www.mars480.com/poseidon480cf...ed-480801.html

CCIce Lite 50a esc
Gazaur 4100kv brushless motor
HS65HB x 3 cyclic servos
MKS DS9670 tail servo http://www.mars480.com/mks9670aservo.html
Align GP750 gyro
ar6100e receiver

That should cover it.

BTW guys www.mars480.com is having a huge sale on the helicopters and electronics. check them out.

The sale prices certainly make the Mars and Poseidon helis appealing. I just hate replacing the lower frames every time I crash.

I just loaded up my first data from the Lite 50.   You can tell I throttle up and down 3 times to track the blades and hovered about 1 minute.   She's all trimmed out and blades are tracking.

the CF is black carbon fiber and the GF is silver glass fiber.   Everything else is exactly the same.

Both links are going to the CF kit.

Ron, you do NOT need another helicopter .

Yeah i dont need anymore but i wasnt sure i could tell the difference. One said somthing like "new floating head" or somthing and i thought maybe they fixed somthing i wasnt aware of.

Still $145. for what i have is still pretty cheap. $5. cheaper then what hobbylobby sold em for.

I know someone has thought of this before but I simply replaced the glass landing gear with an old set of gear and I land pretty hard sometime and it has held up very well with the standard gear. I saved my other gear in case I get any better with my landings!...LMAO! p-s...I have one of those FMA co pilot2's coming next week I am going to try on my MARS 480. Maybe it will help with my landins as well. Oh, and I put the extendeed tailboom on too, it really does work like a champ!

I got really low to the ground one time doing FF flights and the stock skids dug into the grass and about pulled it down into the ground. That was a hear thumper ill tell ya. I regular pair of skids wouldnt even of phased em.

IMO this heli isnt really a good one to begin with, parts are to hard to find and are still pretty pricy. I think a T-rex or a clone t-rex is the better way to start, then once your pretty good at keeping it in the air then move to one like this.
