Quick update:
I'm using the GU-210 gyro to work with the cheapo Maxwell digital servo on the tail.
ya, that's what I thought. I'm looking at the gaui flybarless 200 se v2, if I get it I'll be putting a logictech 2100t and 3100g on it.

For the trex 250 $430 super combo what would i need to buy. Just a battery and another reciever for the dx6i. For under $500 thats defenatly going to bed my next heli. I love align products and its small enough for me to easily fly in a gym. For my intermediate skills flying the 450 in a gym is a little stressful. Plus crashes cost more with my 450.

Well guys, I was debating the same thing (but not for long)

Several of the local guys are now flying T-Rex 250's They LOVE them. A couple of them are now selling their GAUI 200's. I've been flying a mini-Titan for almost a year and an E550 Raptor for 7 months. It's time to get something micro to fly in the local gym (mini-Titan is a little tight) so I'm going to buy my first T-Rex :-) They are more sensitive than a 450 so I plan to start out with the servo throws minimized and expo added.

The only negative I see is that I have to buy 3s packs instead of using 2s (of which I have many and are really inexpensive)

There was a tail issue with the first batch but apparently it's been improved or fixed on the latest kits.

Good luck with whatever you choose.

http://www.hobbycity.com/hobbycity/store/uh_index.asp has lipos for the cheapest ive seen. They r direct from china. I've bought 3 3s 2200mah packs for my blade 400 and they ork great. 20-30c rated get about 115 degrees after a 6-7 minute flight. in my taylor craft they stay ice cold. I just ordered 5 2s 500mah packs for my foamy. for the price of one thunder power $23 i got 3 packs from them.

If your going to be using the packs for the trex 250 just make sure u check the demensions, i hear the trex is limited on room for the battery.

The newly installed tail output shaft on my GAUI 200 became bent after a few rotor tests. Good thing I'm not hurrying things up with this heli. I could have crashed it already if I'm not very careful with it. [&o]

I guess I got spoiled with the SRB Quark. The only crashes I had with the Quark were because I made errors, and the only parts I had broken are very cheap and so easy to install.

I already did a lot of fixing on the GAUI and I haven't even crashed it yet. LOL [sm=spinnyeyes.gif]

How are you....my name is Dave too and I igured I'd run something by you that you may have interest in after reading your post. I have both the Gaui EP100 PRO v2 (which is the Hurricane 200 with 160 blades and boom as opposed to the 200). Then before I even flew my new GAUI, I also got a 200. This makes 5 helis and since the GAUI EP100 Pro V2 is completely parts compatible with the hurricane 200 (boom and blads + all CNC is the exact same on both), I decided to sell my first bought which RTF (GAUI 4800 kV BL motor, ESC,servos, Gyro, Rx, and DX61) for $350 and its never been lown...only spooled up twice. Also 100% Carbon Fiber body (silver) as well.

Any interest feel free to take a look at my pot and let me know, Thanks
Dave

recently purchased a gaui ep200sd Ther were a couple issues the tail boom mount needs to be upgraded to the one that clamps down. i upgraded to the v2 head which is only two pieces so i could have a button on top. cf mains are a must the t-rex ones fit beautifully and make the machine so much more reponsive. getting a good cg takes time but once you do you'll love it. will soon be receivint the v2fes (flybarless) and a good friend has the trex 250 so i should have a good comparison between the three t-rex 250,ep200sd,ep200v2fes.

I went on E-Bay and picked up a T-Rex 250 Super Combo for $349.00, including shipping. New in the box. It should be here by Wed, so I hope to have it up and flying by next weekend. I'm pretty new at the helicopter game (MCx, Eagle 50, Blade 400, Walkera 4#3b), so I'll be posting a newbie review once I've finished construction, set up, and initial crash testing.
