just got this on wednesday and just finished the my build. it did not came with any instructions whatsoever. took some pics of the servo placement and electronics placement. still lots of wires too clean up...but i'll clean it up after the maiden flight.

first impressions is excellent. the carbon frames is strong and looks great. metal head and tail looks and operate very nicely. this helicopter remains me of my mini titan. flys very similar as well. i'm going to fly it like i stole it

btw the hs65hb's in this heli all have metal gears. the metal gear kit is expensive for 16.95 each but worth every penny virtually making the servos indestructive

bad news is i chewed up my main gear after accidentaly flipping the idle up switch instead of timer switch. the scorpion esc soft start up truly does suck. all well no big deal. very nice heli.

wow. this helicopter flys nice. main shaft, and feathering shafts are the same as the thunder tiger mini titan e325. trex 450 main gears are compatible.

just came back from the park with the exi 450 pro. WoW.... nice and smooth. flys very much like the mini titan e325 except its even better. did plenty flips and rolls and a few tic tocs, loops and she begs for more.
i get a vid going next time i take her out. maybe today after the lipo finish charging.

i skipped the flybar weights to make it more agile.

i tried the plastic blades[:'(] they truly suck. couldnt even get them to track. i went with 315mm woodies i had laying around. much better than the woodies. last i checked xheli just sent me tracking info for the carbon fiber blades. should be here in a week.

tail is not locked solid. still have some adjustments and tweaking to go.

xheli just sent me my carbon blades that wasnt suppose to come with the kit but an error in the ad description. sweet....free carbon blades. what a deal i got for this bird. 119 bucks

Does that head have a 4mm feathering shaft with thrust bearings? Wow 119 bucks thats a deal. I was thinking about pulling the trigger on the exi vertex 450. The one were the belt attaches to the main gear. How did you get it so cheap? Were they on sale? Or did you have a price code? Heli looks smooth. I want to get another heli because my BH 450 is alittle worse for wear. Are the blade grips tight on that bird when you grab the ends of the blades and move them up and down? (No slop)?

the feathering shaft is identical to the mini titan e325. I just measured it with my digital calipers and it is 4mm. the main shaft is also the same as mini titan. the main gears are compatible with trex 450 (150T).
I got this during xheli's xmas sale. there is no slop in the head. its solid. and yes it does have thrust bearings. the head is identical to mini titan e325. so things like dampers and bearings ,etc... is compatible. this bird feels solid. and its got some heft. probably 900grams or more.

homeunt the price is now back to 179.99. they do have sales during holidays so keep an eye out for it. also they (xheli) change the description to reflect that it comes with plastic blades[:'(] so no more freebe on the carbon blades. [&o]

i believe i was extremely lucky for getting tottally blinged out heli with carbon fiber blades for $120.[sm=greedy.gif]

Home... keep an eye on the American holidays because thats when XHeli does their crazy sale days... Last time I bought two EXI's for $110.00 delivered... I'm look'n seriously at getting the pro next time they have a sale... Just far to good a deal, even without carbon blades, to pass up... Have to give kudo's to XHeli too for admitting the mistake and sending CF blades without any whining... Gotta like that...

Finally got my exi pro setup perfectly. took alot of tweaking but i finally got the tail to hold rock solid problem was the logitech 2100t gyro. i couldnt get it to hold. a fellow over at helifreak advises me to recalibrate the logitech by turning on transmitter, holding down the menu button on gyro then power up. then the gyro started to flash the led's in sequence....took over 2 minutes to recalibrate itself but after that WOW rock freaking solid! [sm=thumbup.gif]

Just did the same thing to my Hitech HG5000 gyro. Got rid of the need for trim in the TX. Before , I had to use +10 trim to cancel drift in HH but now it is 0.
Great tip. The flashing light sequence is the same as you described. Once all the LED's all start flashing at once , the cal procedure is finished. Unplug battery. Plug in and then play.

cool...just passing on what i just learned i'm glad it help you also. pay it forward this procedure is not explained in the manual. the guy that found out about it actually contacted logitech in korea and they agreed that is not explained in the manual but it does work. only the newer generation 2100t have this feature.

sure khongtac. i'll take some pics tomorrow when im home. the rear servo goes into elevator channel. the left servo i used for aileron servo, the right i used it as the pitch servo (aux channel for spektrum rx)

Because I didn't really figure out of left and right servos for the past few days, it drove me nuts bro. You were saying the left servo used for aileron channel but which channel the rx that you used for the right one...I bought the Spektrum AR7000. The AR7000 has 2 Aux channel.

khong try AUX1. as long as you get the elevator servo correct. it doesnt matter which servo is used for aileron and pitch. as you can easily correct this by programming.

I was wondering if you had to shorten the pitch linkage? I bought the exact same heli. I probably should have had more time messing with helis before I jumped and got it. It does look good.
It seems that on mine I will have to shorten the pitchlinkage as far as it will go.Than probablymake the other two a little longer in order to keep things level.
You really did a nice job on yours and with out any manual, hats off!! I hope that I can get throughthis learning curve with some hair left.
Please let me know what you went through to hook up the servos and keep swashplate level. Any other advice would be great. Thanks

Hey there raffte, I dont have this heli anymore but I do remember shortening the linkages. You want to start from the bottom up. Start with the servos, then theswash and go up from there. Make sure the servo arms are 90. the mixing arms should be level to each other and pitch of the blade are at 0 degrees at exactly midstick on the throttle

you can setup this heli in several ways

1. you can set it up with the swash moving down for positive pitch (like the mini titan e325)
2. you can set it up with the swash moving up for positive pitch. fairly common among ccpm helis

I set mine up like my Mini Titan E325.
