What is this heli?
Hi all. I sort of inherited/adopted this heli from a co-worker who heard I was interested in heli's and he had this little guy sitting in a closet for quite a while & let me have it All I have is the heli itself, no radio or batteries or, anything!! I'm not sure if I'm going to able to get it flying, but right away I'd like to know what it is,, I took the canopy off (Bell jet ranger) but couldn't see any clear manufacturer info anywhere.. here's a pic
Details: it has a 26.5" rotor span, a HiTec "Electron 6" 5 channel 72MHz receiver, a collective pitch head, and a brushess motor I think is from Align (some of the name is blocked) Also a Telebee Heading lock gyro.
Can someone ID this orphan?? Thanks!

That it is an Align T-Rex 450X, I have one that was upgraded to the XL version.
Here is a link to a manual for it: http://www.power*********.com/downlo...50x_Manual.pdf

RE: What is this heli?
Hey thanks for the identity check cwesh, and THANKS for the owners manual too!
So from what I read the Trex 450x is a decent little heli eh? Now I'm more enthused about getting the thing air worthy! It doesn't appear to have any crash damage, but it *was* running with old crystal radio gear.. not much point in getting an old skool transmitter for it lol,, I am currently planning to get a Blade 400 w/radio so maybe later I can buy another DSM2 receiver & stuff it into this thing

RE: What is this heli?
Another quick question.. I hear there are a lot of "Trex clones" on the market and am wondering, could this be one of them?
On a "real Trex" is there an Align brand name on the chassis somewhere??

Hi,
It is a usable heli, just a bit outdated. It should fly fine as a sport flier.
On my XL, there is nothing on the fuselage that says Align, on yours, what is written on the skids? Looks like it might be ALIGNRC to me.
