ORIGINAL: rwgreen1173 One question, I am kind of a computer guy, but I go to plug this transmitter into my computer (to try and run a sim) and I must be missing something. The Falcon comes with a cable that has a round (looks like a ps2 or svideo) end that plugs into the transmitter and a serial (rs232) - 9 pin female end. I have never seen this on a computer? It certainty is not on my laptop anywhere.. am I missing somehting? What do you guys do, buy a 9 pin male to 15 pin male converter for this thing to plug in to the computer? In the "old days" computers used to come with 9pin serial connections (an in the "even older days" it would be a 25 pin). Now they are hard to find. I'm supprised that your was shipped with a serial connection. Three options: 1) See if you can return it for one with a USB connector 2) Buy a cable with a USB connector 3) Buy a USB to serial converted so that you can plug in your existing cable. Also, while I have you I keep breaking the rotor head core... any replacement brands(viper? hitec?) I could look for at my local shop? xheli has the HBFP V2 cheap and free shipping with the cjfree3 (?) code.
The tail housing on the V2 is screwed in, not glued. |

okay, here's my newest dilemma...
I have [link=http://www.eastcoasthobbies.com.au/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=8_30&produc ts_id=141]this blade holder[/link]. When I contacted SuperSkids, they said that I need to mount the blades above/below the blade holder-not in it. That's fine, but does anyone know where I can get bolts long enough (and skinny enough) to fit this? [link=http://www.rcgroups.com/forums/showpost.php?p=14222776&postcount=20628]here's a link to what someone else did[/link], but I just can't find anywhere that doesn't charge $2/bolt! Plus the cost of washers and nuts. anyone know where I could get them? thanks -Max |

Thanks so much I was thinking about just buying a metal one, but I was just a little worried about the weight. Also, the fuse protection makes sense too, my friend crashed his and probably didn't throttle down fast enough and now hisreceiverwill not power the main motor. I guess there is no way to fix that? Finally, I love that website USHobbySupply.com, finally a placed that offersreasonableshipping. I think I may just buy a computer cable there too. What is your take on the heat sink's they offer? |

Guys, anyone on here want to trade a 450 size cp for a blinged out falcon 40 v1? I have a 40 with all the goodies plus about $150.00 in spare parts, including a spare tx & rx. Enough to build another heli if you wish. If interested pm me.

Since I figure I'm probably going to get a 450 heli eventually, here's a question for you... why did you get the T-Rex 450 over another cheaper 450 heli? this is a loaded question, so if ''I just liked it more'' is the answer, that makes sense :D I am glad you changed your mind (Note to others: ask Max as addictive this can be! ;) ) Let's see: [ul][*] I wanted either a shaft driven or belt driven tail. Decided on a belt, since they are more forgiving[*] Lots of the cheaper ones have plastic parts, and I wanted a metal main and tail rotor assembly.[*] I know lots of people who love their Trex clones, and I know some who have upgraded the parts to Align after a wreck (and they can tell the difference between the quality). [/ul] So I figured if I was just going to eventually have a Trex, I might as well start out with one. But also, I could afford it! -Dave |

Messages on forum tonight at a record pace. So before it gets pushed back too far, let me say again if you need a 4in1 repaired, check with "Dave's 4in1 repair service." I've been luckey, haven't needed him. But I fly with fuse mods. But I know several of the guys that have had him do repair work, and from what I can gather, he does excellent work. So if you need him, (dknovick).
