How to hook up Battery 2 x 2200mAh 3S in series?
I am looking at buying a 500 size heli and it suggest:
Battery: 2 x 2200mAh 3S 20C or 1 4400 6S 20C How exactly would you hook up the 2 3S to one ESC? Thanks! |

The above is correct - but I learnt a little trick from watching one of Finless Bobs Videos over on heli-Freak - I made this adaptor at the end of the ESC leads which means that you do away with the need for the connector (assuming you will always be ruinning 2 x 3S batteries on that ESC). It keeps the wire length and mess down and a few grams.
A point to note is that your end rating will be 2 x 3S or 22.2v @ 2200mAh and not 4400mAh. Jon |

Jon What he needs is two batteries in parallel ( red to red to power, black to black to ground), which adds the capacity together. That way, he'll get 11.1V @ 440mAh -Dave |

ORIGINAL: noobflyer01 looking at his original post which states he has 2 x 11.1v packs he want to use for the 500 size. in a series. He doesnt need a parallel connecter. he needs a series connector. You can't run a 500 on 3s. you need 6s. ask me how I know.[img][/img] Ignore me, and listen to someone who has a 500 size heli... Series it is! |

Looking at the numbers, they don't add up. If you hook 2 x 3s 2200mah in series, you will have a 6s 2200mah. If you hook 2 x 3s in parallel, you will have a 3s by 4400mah. There is no way you can get 4400mah 6s from 2 x 3s 2200mah as you have listed above. ( Quote: or 1 4400 6s 20c ) Something seems wrong with the 2 different battery specs. you have listed. You would have to hook 2 x 3s 4400mah in series to get a 6s 4400mah, or hook 2 x 6s 2200mah in parallel to get 6s 4400mah. |

You are correct sir, my post was incorrect. I was looking to get the 22.2v, the mah is fine. Good eyes!
