Default AEO Brushless Motor 55mm EDF Fan Disassembly?

I am wondering if anyone could tell me the proper way to take one of these units apart? I removed the screw from the center of the fan and tried to twist the fan off the unit so I can shave down the blades, but that doesn't seem to be working. There are access holes at opposite the sides of the unit, but they don't appear to be for accessing anything like a hex nut.

I don't want to force anything too hard or end up breaking the thing, so any help would be greatly appreciated!

Much Thanks!

Nevermind. There were two tiny hex nuts on opposite sides, hidden underneath the fan, holding it on the spindle. I just couldn't see them. But that's how you get the fan off! Hope this helps someone else...

Cheers!
