Video of 130 MPH HET Me-163 Prop jet with MB-1 motor
Well, she is all done and got a few flights in with my ME-163. First flight she went for about 50 feet than hit the deck, did not have enough up in her. The prop was done for and I cracked part of the nose a bit. Repaired her and ready to go flying the next day. Put a lot more up in her and that did the trick. Right now I am running a 5.25 x 4.75 prop and she sure does move
. I hope to have a video up maybe in the next week or two. Here are a few pic's of her before the nose damage, after the repair the nose is painted black. I did add a few cooling holes to the nose and opened up the tail end. Plus I put some grip tape under the wings so it's easy to toss her. Power set up is ARC 28-48-1.5 motor with heat sink, HobbyWing 80 amp ESC, 4s 2200 40C pack and 2-Power HD 16g servos. With a APC 5.25 x 4.75 prop I get 31,200 RPM's and with a light toss she goes right up no problem .

Well, I took the ARC 28-48-1.5 out of my ME-163. It had real good power and speed but with the 3.17 shaft it would bend real easy if the prop hit the ground at all. I had 2 ARC 28-48-1.5 motors where the shaft broke off inside the motor after landing. I went with the Sapac MB-1 3200 Kv motor as it has a 4mm shaft. It's a bit faster than the ARC motor and it will also take a 5 cell pack when I want more speed out of the jet. I have about 10 flights on her with the MB-1 and no problem with the shaft at all.

Well, We used the RCSpeedo on a IPhone and got an average of 130 mph with the MB-1 motor. Used a 4s 2650 40C pack with APC 5x5 prop not to bad. Hope to get some 5s 2650 40 or 50C packs soon and see what she will do than.

Update : My buddy got a speed of 129.6 mph on his phone with the RC Speedo app. After checking the video I dont think he had the temp set on his phone. I took the sound from 48 to 54 sec's of the video and ran it on the PC verison of RC Speedo with the temp of 89 that day and got 139.7 mph

Well, I got my 5s 2650 40C Sky Lipo pack in the other day. I went to the flying club to do some flying and check out the readings on the ME-163 with the 5s pack. I also went down to a 4.75 x 4.75 prop. Here is a pic of the readings I got on my meter 
. Now I just got to put in the 100 amp ESC to fly it on the pack as I have the Hobby Wing 80 amp that will go to 100 for 10sec's. So I don't want to push the 80 that hard.

Here is the new video with the 5 cell pack. It's not long as I did it just for the sound to doppler the speed. Got 152.99 MPH on one speed pass and another run came in at 162.47 MPH.
