I tested this EDF unit (post 80) 10S and 12S twice due to the rpm and the static thrust .

Earlier,I bought a CHANGESUN Ø120mm 12bl. EDF because I liked the shape of the rotor blades.
The first impressions were:
-the rotor and the plades material and the surface are excellent
-the edf house material is weaker and not as strong as CHANGESUN Ø120 4bl. house.
I decided to insert this motor and test epx. 100-120A.I wanted to know the data of this EDF at these amperes.
The first test was not successful ,because the blades touched the inner side of the house and the ESC switched off due to the high ampere and the high temperature.During the test I used the WATTMETER for checking the ampere. See the pictures!
After the test I checked once more the motor hole diameter in the motor shaft which is a little bigger than it should be.
My turner makes a new,more accurate rotor shaft for this motor and we are going to check the diameter of the inner side of EDF house.
I am going to rebalancing the rotor.
I have to change the set up in the ESC.

I have decided to make a 6 blades rotor from 12 blades because this electro motor can and likes to run on higher rpm.
Then, I can compare the parameters with the CHANGESUN Ø 120mm 12 blades and 4 blades EDF.

I used 2 types of accumulators during the CHANGESUN Ø 120mm 6 blades 12S test.
I started the test with 12S TURNIGY nano-tech 6000mAh 25-50C.
At higher rpm the EDF pulsed.My friend’s opinion is that the discharge rate(25-50C) is not enough for this test.I tested the EDF twice and got the same result.
Then I tested this EDF with an old 12S ZIPPY 5000mAh 45C. During these tests there weren’t pulses.I tested the EDF at 50N.
If somebody has opinion on pulsing of the EDF, please write me(us)!

I had made several EDF test and I saw what is important is the clear airflow in the EDF.
I didn’t like the older exhaust pipe parameters of the CHANGESUN Ø 120mm 4 blades so at first I redesigned a new exhaust pipe where I did not change the outside diameter only I reduced the diameter aft of the electro motor air cooling canal.
After that I will make a seven degree exhaust pipe Ø 100mm at aft then I test these two exhaust pipes together.
I hope I will get better result in this test than in the old one.

One of the M2 screws broke in the front part of the motor.I changed them to M3 screws.
The printed third exhaust pipe is not as nice as I expected to be because I hadn’t saved the 3D drawing corretly but I can still use it for the test.

For the following tests I am using CHANGESUN Ø 120mm 4blades EDF with the new rotor,
because the old one broke during an unsuccessful test.
First, I tested the older accumulators and the EDF with intake lip 2 to get to know the initial parameters.

Here are some thoughts of the pulsing.
These accumulators were used and old at this time.
In the first part of this test I had set up in the ESC „Voltage Cutoff”- 38,67 V then I set 35,29 V.
During the test the ESC regulated back due to the voltage was lower than the „Cutoff Voltage” and it changed the rpm too.
One 6S of two accumulators is defective.
