Default My latest design- 70mm EDF "KONKORD"

It's been ages since I built 70mm EDF so while having this crappy cold, wet and windy spell I got into building small hand launcher for the beach flying. Using bits and pieces I found in my spare part box, including this 70mm modified Wemo power unit I used years ago in couple of models.

All ready for its maiden next week, in the meantime she is curing. Looks like a little pipi next to its larger bro "BBB".

After few non eventful flights on 4S I wasn't happy with the performance upgrading the power unit to 6S giving me 1.75kg thrust at 1.5kg AUW. Also upgrading it to bungee launcher for safety.

Having a break from this project which was so far a pain in the neck! After 4th re-design it still doesn't work to my expectations so few more goes at later stage when I'm in the mood.

This project was sitting on the shelf for few years now, powerless, so while having bit of a wet weather break, I have re-fitted it with the new 70mm, Wemo power unit, this time on 4S to have another go after some modifications to the frame.
Still a bungee launcher, but to do some flight trials to sort out things I use simple landing gear to give me bit more controls during few beach runs to check the balance.

Now with 70mm/60A draw hot set up.

Took it to the beach today for a test fly, not much luck for this one on its wheels, tide's too high at low. Luckily brought a spare one along.

Too soft for this one today!
