Default Yakovlev-130" 90mm EDF Jet.

Latest addition to my EDF fleet is this FW, Yak. PNP version but decided to do few modifications to it as will follow. in this build.

To get away from the grey monotony touch of colour added.

After few fan test runs I'm not happy with the thrust by the stock 6S power unit so pulling it all out and upgrading to 8S by fitting new ESC and rotor to the existing fan.

After number of static thrust tests using the stock and upgraded 8S power set up I have decided to modify the air intakes, resulting in great improvement.

On the stock 6S I was getting only some 2.4kg thrust at very high current draw. I tested 5 different power units but finally decided on 8S Stumax 89-45/NEU1400kv. I'm getting close to 3.5kg thrust which will translate much better in flight after the air intake modification. Just assembled Elev. stabs with the rudder fin today and had to do some surgery foam removal inside the cockpit to accommodate larger capacity batteries. Won't be long now and she'll be in the air.

Latest video flying in dead calm, not an ideal conditions for this heavy foamy. Each landing getting better but still a handful.
