Freewing A-4 Skyhawk 80mm EDF Jet
This is my unboxing for the Freewing A-4 Skyhawk 80mm EDF Jet. It is pretty awesome!
Here are my review notes for this stunning Freewing EDF Jet:
Pros:
- Nice smooth finish on foam
- Scale retracts with quality suspension
- You can go between the F & E models with ease due to the magnetic “hump”.
- In addition to the hump, the provided decal sets and the fact the airframe comes bare allows for significant customization.
- The kit also comes with tons of different pieces including a tailhook and cockpit steps you can glue on for example.
- It has been out for a while, so all of the bugs have been worked out making the actual plane build quick and easy with no surprises.
Cons:
- It took a while to apply the waterslide decals, but that was mostly due to me never using them before.
Stay tuned for more videos of this soon!

My Freewing A4 repainted as RNZAF 75Sqdn NZ6216 which was purchased off the RAN (Royal Australian Navy) in 1984 and was kept in the RAN scheme until it was modified to a K in 1985. It was upgraded to the Kahu version on the 1st of Feb 1990.
