Default Bob-E-Cat Micro....23inch Wingspan

Has anyone built one of these planes yet?
Its the smallest of the range of Bob-e-cat kits from www.ejf.com
Its only the Micro I'm interested in as is says it can be hand launched and is all wood with some foam (Easily repaired).
With a wingspan of 23 inches my only concern is will it end up flying like the micro-jet! I never enjoyed my micro-jet with a serious shove needed for launch and lack of performance - that was without brushless though.
I had a 1/2a Skrike which was a completly different thing all together, fast and forgiving.

Anyones help with powerplant and build would be appreciated.
Does anyone in the UK stock them or is it US only?

Neil

i have a small bobcat although mine was framed from the plans by a friend ( i finished the build and covered it) not from the kit.

i will post a pic of it during assymbly. as of my writing it has flown about 10 times with fixed landing gear.

i am using the vasa fan and a himaxx 2025 4200 motor. it puts out about 180 watts. It is not real fast i would estimated in the high 60's low 70's but it is a blast and it looks great. i also have the largest glass version. i am about half way through the build on that one.

Looks good. Any chance of a video?

How much does it weigh (ready to fly)?

Have you any clue's to a more powerful motor?

I have some video of the 33" Bob-E-Cat attached to some other jet video but have no way to post it or host it. If there is someone that can help me out, maybe it could be viewed.

Marc, I tried e-mailing the file but it is entirely to large. It also has a .VOB extension and I can't do anything with that either. Any suggestions. I was wondering if there was a video hosting site that I could copy the file to. I don't know where to tell you to go to get it off my computer.

Video should be on the way soon. The video had to be made small enough to send through e-mail so the quality is not that great, but you can at least see it fly.

They are in our video gallery. The first one is setup and I'm adding the 2nd now which will be live in 5 minutes too.

Thanks Marc. The second is not the bob-e, but just our turbines set to music.

Thanks again,

George

P.S. I'm working on getting these hosted on a site with full resolution.

I can host the full res ones. All you need to do is get them to me somehow or put them someplace temporarily so I can pull them down. I might be able to get you ftp upload if you email me and then you can put them up and I can snag them. I'll fix the title on the 2nd one
