GAUI TigerShark Delta maiden
Got to maiden my TigerShark Delta EDF last weekend with Don (from Dons RC). It's running Dons Wicked 4800Kv EDF motor on a 3s 2200 lipo. I'm using the included EDF unit and fan but I did remove 3 blades off the 6 blade rotor. It flew really well. The video quality is not the best and the grey murky sky didn't help but I got a couple of nice close speed passes. I'm real happy with it. I think I might move up to a 4s lipo with it later.
Here's the plane - http://www.ohyesrc.com/index.php?mai...roducts_id=418
Here's the video - http://media.putfile.com/Tiger-Shark...-Wicked4800-3S
Thanks,
Kevin

Looks fast! I've been thinking about getting this plane too.
Do you know how many amps its pulling with that 4800kv motor?
I'm wanting to go 4s in it... supa fast
Thanks!

According to the makers, 173km/hr with 3S and 223km/hr with 4S....
I think thats a little optimistic, but they did radar it at 223km/hr on a downwind run.
Anyway you look at it tho, thats pretty darn quick for a 540mm wingspan foamie! Mines due to arrive in the next day or so (I hope..)

On a TP 3S 2200 V2 Extreme I'm pulling 34.1 Amps (peak) / 359.7 watts at WOT. It settles in nicely between 31-32 Amps and around 330 watts.
It's between 95-100 MPH. Need to get an official doppler or radar reading on it. It flies great and not too shabby of a setup on a 3s lipo. It might even be above 100, we'll see.
Here's another video of it from about a month ago with the guys I fly with. There are some other jets in the video as well(I'm in the begining with the Tigershark for about 30 sec). Don from DonsRC giving the launch for me. That was a great day to fly. My buddy Scott stopped video taping because he couldn't keep up with it.

Kevin,
Mine is ready to go. I went 4S with the Wicked 4000 motor. It is about 500 watts or so. I dopplered another guys who posted a video on this setup and I got him at 115 mph. The speeds they show on their video were in about 20 mph tail winds. Their video and the Wicked powered video both had the same RPM (about 49,500) so the speeds will be the same.
