RE: EDF's off grass runways?
Hi Don: Yes it's me and I'm looking for some type of EDF trainer. Do you have access to anything 75-100mph slower than you fly, that would get me started? Regards, John Burry

John,
Sorry for the delay in my reply, been out of town the past several days with the family. All the EDFs I fly are hand launched models. If you want to go that route I can help. Any of the Alfa models are good or the Hobby people F-16.

I have an Electrifly L-39 and Twister that hand launch nice. Here is a video of my T-45 taking off on grass. It's a fun ride.

It is John. I would stiffen the nose gear a bit and plan on doing that to mine this winter. I also added a BEC just to be on the safe side since I'm running a 60 amp ESC that is close to the limit for the plane.
