RC Lander F-16D
In anticipation of my RC Lander F-16D's arrival, I figured I'd start a thread to detail unboxing, how the build goes, or anything that may pop up. I ordered (from www.electricjetfactory.com) the airframe + retracts + gear doors. I'm excited to get something with retracts and this thing looks sharp.

The airframe and retracts were $149.99 and the gear doors an additional $50. So $200 with free shipping. They have other packages available, but I wanted to put my own stuff in the airplane.

Well today's the day that EJF is supposed to ship out this bird. I'm eagerly awaiting its arrival. We're supposed to start getting snow, so it looks like it may be a bit before this flies - but the build will be worth it.

Nope, wasn't right at all about 'em shipping on the 10th. However, I did get my shipping notification from FedEx that a box from EJF is on its way to me now. Stay tuned, unboxing photos should be coming on Monday.

Yepper,
Got a note from Robert of EJF with shipping info. I hate it when they use the USPS. you can't get a good track as you can with UPS. These have to be two pretty good size boxes I would imagine. One SR71 and one F18. Be nice if they made if before Christmas and without smashing the poop out of em, eh.

I'm hoping mine arrives in as good of condition as it left EJF, but I'm not too worried about it. Right now it's a race between my Hyperion Extra 300 and the F-16. Both are expected in on the 22nd and both left from AZ the same day - but one via FedEx and one via UPS.

I second the USPS service they have messed up more of my stuff during shipping than I can count. I've had several times when I get the "sorry we missed you" when I had been home all day. I can't even get the woman that delivers here to get the right mail in the right slot. Even after talking to her supervisor nothing has changed. If I would have known EJF was going that route I would have gladly paid the extra for UPS or FedEx. I'm hoping for a "Christmas Miracle" and mine shows up undamaged. Mike

Nope. Holidays got in the way - plus I've got a couple of other projects that I need to finish before getting to this. I want to workover the retracts and gear doors a bit to eliminate some binding, too. When I get rolling, I'll post what I find.
