Walkera 3200KV enough for 64MM EDF?
Hey guys, I am still looking at getting acouple of jets, just trying to determine if I want to go Reciever Ready or kit. I have enough stuff to build probably 3 planes. I have 13 new and used 9G servos, 8-10 RXs, 4 ESCs, and about 6 brand new Walkera 18L 3200KV brushless inrunners. I hate to see all that go to waste, but I really want to get into jets more. I am looking at the Blue Agnels, or Tiger F-18 from Hobby Lobby. It uses a 64MM EDF. The Reciever Ready version comes with a 4300KV inrunner. Would the Walkera 3200 KB be enough, or would it be way under powered?
Thanks,
Andrew

RE: Walkera 3200KV enough for 64MM EDF?
The 4300 kV motor probably requires a 3S lipo so the rpm will be a nominal 4300*3*3.7 = 47730 which is very close to using a 4S lipo with the 3200 kV motor (3200*4*3.7 = 47360).
Similar RPM, similar thrust.
Will work just fine provided trhe 4S pack weighs the same as the 3S.

Thanks for that Larry. That makes sense. I don't have any 4S packs though, I was trying to standardize on 3S. Well, maybee I will put some of the Walkera's up on the for sale forum.
