Here's a good start....... http://www.hobby-lobby.com/electric_jets.htm
The EPO foam F-86 is excellent and just needs a receiver!

RE: Where to Shop for EDF Jets
Thanks for the fast reply everyone, I forgot to mention something Banana hobby seems to have planes that nitro planes doesnt have that hobby lobby doesnt seem to have. Are these wholesalers given exclusive rights to the product and thats why i can only find a specific plane on only one site? At this point I think im going to buy a Parkzone Habu due to parts access and customer support cause I am still fairly new to the whole art of flying an rc plane or heli.
I liked the banana hobby 360 vector F 16 and the nitro planes Airfield F 16 cause they are 70mm EDF and they are the biggest EDF planes I found that fly super fast and stable at low speeds But with all the bad things Ive read I cant bring myself to buy from them even if they are my top 2 favorites . Thanks again for all the help. Some of these questions are kinda repeats but any pots i can find are dated 2007 and alot can happen in 3 years.
Thanks Again and again I cant thank everyone enough. ~Joe

RE: Where to Shop for EDF Jets
I just came across the following web site for Chinese-made jets. The prices are incredible (1/2 to 1/3 of most other stores) I just bought a T-50 jet from them. Art M

Have you considered Hobbyking? They came out with a few nice EDF's the past month. Today a nice [link=http://hobbyking.com/hobbyking/store/uh_viewItem.asp?idProduct=11407]ARF F9F panther[/link] and a few days ago with a [link=http://hobbyking.com/hobbyking/store/uh_viewItem.asp?idProduct=11033]F-14 with folding wing[/link] (unfortunately on back order already).

I posted about Hobbyking because I have very good experience with them. Not from their jets, but from their other products.

Don't be afraid of ordering from Nitroplanes. I have placed 6 orders with them (3 in the last month for jets) and had no problems. Shipping is quick and all have arrived from California to New York in a week.

RE: Where to Shop for EDF Jets
I have the PZ Habu and highly recommend that EDF as an outstanding place to start. It is VERY well engineered and has plenty of power as "stock". It is a little more expensive than the typical foamie EDF's go, but I think it is worth it. You get what you pay for! I bought the receiver ready version and used my own 2.4ghz system (Futaba 6EX). The ailerons are very sensitive, put a good bit of expo (-50 to -60) on low rate. Use a good lipo 4cell, 3000-3500mah/30 to 40C. You'll love it!

RE: Where to Shop for EDF Jets
I don't know what Yambuster bought, but if you look at the related items (look for the image below how you can find the related items) then there are 2 suggestions:
- Turnigy 2610 EDF Outrunner 5000kv for 55/64mm
- Turnigy 2615 EDF Outrunner 4800kv for 55/64mm
remember that there are 2 fans, so you need two motors and 2 ESC's. Both motors are rated for ~34 Amps, so any 40-60A esc should be enough.

RE: Where to Shop for EDF Jets
I just ordered my EDF F-86 from Hobbyking today. I payed a less than US$ 90 including shipping. Can you imagine that the same plane is sold locally for Euro 110 by Robbe, a German distributor?

Don't forget Electric Jet Factory. Great selection and fantastic service. The HET F-20 is one of my personal favorites.

RE: Where to Shop for EDF Jets
I've had good service from Philip at PW-RC in China

HobbyKing is also a favorite but only order if item is in stock. Customer service is lacking though if something isn't right once it arrives.
