Default K-jet 65mm edf build

Okay this is my first build log so bear with me on this one guys..

So this will be a build log focusing on the contsruction of the K-jet, a forward swept, all balsa, edf jet. I designed this jet in lat March of this year and have just now reached my construction phase. I designed this jet with simplicity in mind: One size of balsa for the entire build, 1oz fiberglass throughout, eflite 60 amp esc, eflight delta v480 ducted fan set, 6 Hobbypartz 5g servos, and a Hobbypartz blue lipo 3s 20c 25000mah battery.

Side note: If anyone would be interested in buying a set of PDF plans for this plane i will be selling them for 6$. Just send me a pm if your interested!

So i start with a stack of balsa wood sheets donated by a good friend who didnt need them anymore. What better use for them than to build a expiremental jet with? exactly! So i took my plans and traced out a set of bulkheads and before i cut them from the sheet i cut away their centers for future wiring. I then used a dremel to cut tiny squares into their sides and then glued donw streamers. I also added a servo tray and a battery tray though i think i will need to beef up the servo tray. Il figure that out after i install the servos and see what they do. Oh and as you can see i also added the control rod tubes but dont pay attention to the front one all by itself. Il remove that and have the nose wheel servo in the actual front where it belongs. So now i move on to covering! I use another sheet of balsa: lay it own, spray windex on it, let it soak in and then its as bendy as paper. I then lay down the sheet on the frame, bend it around and hold with rubberbands. i used Ca for this but if you choose epoxy that will work well too. I just like Ca's curing time especially with kicker. By the by, kicker is my best friend in this build! Made things ready to go in only seconds! I highley recommend kicker. So i have one center section covered and also 2 slanted sections covered. Now its starting to look like a real fuselage
