ORIGINAL: HeliTB Scott...I had the same problem just happen to me with a magnet coming loose. I opened the motor and tried to reglue it but could get the stator, if it's called that back in and spinning freely. I removed the magnet completely and reassembled the motor and it seems to turn by hand like it did when I first turned it. Magnet force seems to be good. Well my cat is no more. Got my Ele servo wire sucked into the prop and lawn darted. Was hoping to take it up to the jet meet in Indiana this week for some after hours fun [&o] Oh well.
Scott is it possible to buy just the foam pieces since all of my hardware is still good??? Christopher |

Use a SpinMax 2212-6 motor with a 30A ESC and 6x5.5 prop. Be sure to fly at 1/2 thtrottle for at least 45sec before landing to help cool the motor.

Oh yeah, for the battery. I use a Thunder Power 2100mAh for all out speed because it can deliver the amps needed to produce some nice speed. I also use a the Thunder Power 1320mAh for mild to moderate speed with a Dualsky 2826 motor (1450kv @ 17A) using a 7x5 prop. The SpinMax 2212-6 motor puts out (2200kv @ 28A) using 6x5.5 prop, you can also use a 6x4 prop to reduce the amp draw to about 24A you'll lose a little speed. You can now see the need for different batteries. You have to be sure that the battery is capable of delivering the amps the motor is trying pull through the ESC, which is why you want a 30A ESC. I hope this further helps.

Wow Wee, had our two aerosports and Bobcat flying tonight. Sooo much fun just harriering around in the wind. and nothing but fun going vertical forever, and just floating around on down to the ground.

Hard choice but gonna have to go with Cat. But can't really give it a fair comparison since I only flew the sport for a minute or two.

Had some of the pilots from work fly the Aerocat today at lunch and they love it! They had it flying a rolling circle even, w/o rudders!
