Default 2-Blade Prop to 3-blade prop

a 9x6 two bladed prop is equal to what size three blade prop?

Try 8x6x3.  To switch to a three-bladed prop, go one inch shorter with the same pitch as the two-bladed prop.

Yep, drop it down one size in prop diameter as a rule of thumb because the three bladed version created a little more thrust (usually).
