Default rx battery question.

Newbie here. I just purchased the hobbyking L4 grasshopper 1400mm and an orangeRX 6ch rx. Will a 2200mah battery power the rx and power system or do i need a seperate battery for the rx. Thanks

I don't know anything about that plane and you have not posted a link for me to see it.  But assuming it is an electric airplane I would expect that the ESC has a lead to go to the receiver that will power the receiver from the main flight battery.

It's a 50" foamie cub, so I would agree with Ed, it likely gets it's power from the lead that goes to the throttle channel from the esc
