Default FLIGHT SIMULATOR? And Club info

Hi Guys

I need a recommendation for a flight simulator that can help a newbie learn to fly. I would like to have one that reports flight telemetory back to the transmitter, things like altitude, speed, maybe even virtual GPS data if thats possible. Do you guys know of any simulators out there like that? Oh yeah usb hookup perferbly but rs232 would be fine as well.

Also does anyone know of any clubs in FT Laurdale FL? I need an instructor, someone who can teach me the ropes.

Real flight is a good simulator that will give you a little bit of telemetry such as air speed and altitude but no GPS data I dont think. The transmitters they come with hook up to your computer via USB. They also have an option where you can plug in your actual transmitter into the simulator controller so you can fly with the feel of your own transmitter.

Phoenix sim is good too. It has updates every so often and the upgrades are free!

As to the second part of your question (find a club near you):  Go to the AMA web site (www.modelaircraft.org), click on "Members and Clubs", click on "Club Services", Click on "Find a Club" and enter your zip code.  I'm sure there are several clubs in the greater Ft. Lauderdale area.
