I had to have the boss up load the pic and dictate at the same time.
She weighs 3.5 lbs ,with RX battery, servos, 25 brush less E-flight .
She goes like a bat outta Heck on take off about 50 yards and I run outta room till I hit a bumpy field. I cut the grass and shut her down.
Is this battery to much weight ?
Sorry for all the different threads....Still new at electric, and very new to the computer.
I figure once I get an ID on the plane, I have a starting point.
I do have 2 of them, I got them on the cheap, 2 wings and fuses.

Looks almost like there might be some negative incidence in the with. Worth checking.

Reelquick,

I'm certainly no expert on this but that looks like a gas prop.
I believe that the gas/glow engines turn a higher rpm and dont
have as much pitch built in the prop even though the pitch rating
may be the same as an electric prop. But I still dont understand
if its moving so fast on the ground why it wont take off.
Hopefully a more knowledgable person will speak on the prop.

I thought the same thing , but it said 10x 8 electric on the prop in factored writing.

Sorry not coming up with anything on either of the names on the plane.

But running MotoCalc on it, if you are running a 3 cell lipo of proper mAh and C rating, that thing won't leap off the ground. Approx 27 amps, 42 oz of thrust, prop speed of 64 mph, or say roughly 45 mph in the air. Say maybe a larger prop like a 12x6 if you pack and esc can handle it.

If you are running an esc and an rx pack, makes sure you disconnect the red wire on the lead going to the receiver from the esc.
And something else, if the bec in the esc is not strong enough to run your servos, (I guess why you are running a separate rx pack), you may want to look at a stand alone BEC. Around $25.00 for a Castle 10, and would remove a heck of a lot of weight by dropping the rx pack.

Try RC Groups, lot more chances of getting info on it there.

Yes , I have not lost interest in the hobby and am still at it. I put a 3 blade prop on the trainer and ran it down the street and it went like a bat outtta heck.Decided to do the right thing and put it on the bench until i got some professional advice instead of crashing on my own.
Do to the hurricane here in the northeast and just bad luck things have not been so well.

The club I was trying to get hooked up with doesn't sound like its the one for me. I`m sorry but, driving to another state and playing tolls and making meetings in another state just don't make sense to me when I know there are others here.

I posted on the AMA page or the beginners about a club that is close and has been around along time.

Thank`s for checking on me, I keeep the Battts charged and broke down and bought a Digital TX so I can just have one for multiple air craft.
