Default Internet flying resources

Are there any websites with tutorials or tips for flying RC planes? I have my Slow Stick together and am ready to try it out but have never flown RC planes before.

Also, how long do NiCd batteries hold their charge? I read somewhere that they only hold their charge for 12-24 hours but I don't see how they can loose their charge that quickly without being used in a plane.

thanks alot.....

As far as websites that teach you how to fly, I'm pretty confident that no such site exists. Learning to fly is not really something that can be done by observation or by reading a book.

If a NiCd battery is completely discharging in 12-24 hours, there is a serious problem. NiCd and NiMH batteries do exhibit some self-discharge, but it takes far longer than 24 hours for this to happen.
