Gentle does it with the slow stick I have mine and love it. But even if you go full rudder it really doesnt hurt it just makes a tight turn. Make sure and put a prop saver on if its your first flight it might save your gearbox.

Less than 5 mph to start with. The SS is so big and light it WILL be blown around easily by any wind.

You can fly in 20mph winds if you really want just make sure that you are heading into the wind. If you are a beginner wait until it is dead calm before you fly this makes it much easier.

Slow stick tips:
1. Apply pieces of tape underneath the wing center traveling several inches along the underside of each wing. This greatly reduces the stress on the wing dihedral aluminum tube connectors. I overstressed mine secewing around (constant turning, etc..) and watched one wing go straight up, and the plane straight down. The plane suffered little damage, and is flying again.
2. Your local hobby shop carries lighweight aluminum tubing that will slide directly over the original aluminum tubing size (they carry both sizes). This double reinforcement remedies the only weak spot which I have encountered in this plane.

You must always take off into the breeze.
Get the CG right or slightly forward.

Yeah I had the same pronlem with my wings folding. I went to the hobby shop and bought aluminum that fit the fiberglass rods and then some brass that fit over the aluminum. The other day I was flying in 10mph winds doing flips and I had no problem.

Hi FockeWulf - can you find out the manufacturer and part number for that square section 10mm ID aluminum tubing? I've been hunting for that for months!
