3rd Plane w/ Ailerons???
I am looking for a good third plane with ailerons. I built a GWS p51 but found it to be too advanced for me. The wing is set real low and has a fair amount of dihedral. Also it is set back and swept slightly forward moving the center of gravity back and making slower flight difficult.
I have been looking for a better slower flight plane with a higher wing but have'nt seen too much in foam over 30"ws.
I like everything about the Watt Age "Super Impress" but not to sold on repairing balsa.
If anyone has any advice on what to do next , let me know. I am open to anything. Time of build and price are not major concerns.
Thanks...Joe

Could do a GWS Beaver and put ailerons on it.
People even put ailerons on the GWS Slow Stick.
Or a foamy 3D. On low rates they fly real nice.
When you get comfortable go to high rates and 3D.

Mountain Models SmoothE sounds like what the doctor would order for you.
High wing, balsa fuse, foam wing, ailerons. Two wing options: Slow flyer or Sport wing. Both have ailerons.
Check it out.

Good call Bobby.
I checked out Mountainmodels SmoothE and it fits the bill. I ordered one with both wings.
Thanks for the info, you saved me alot of time looking around. I like alot of their other planes too. Plus my GWS motors and brushless motor setup look like they'll be a nice fit. The only thing I was'nt sure of was if the fuse would take my Kokam 11.1/1500mah Battery packs (seems tight).
Either way it looks like a good plane for me at this time.
Thanks again....Joe

Woa...I had no idea this thing was a kit.
I'll try it later on but in the mean time, any other suggestions for the previous inquiry??
I have two little kids and I don't have to much time for a kit...Although it looks somewhat easy.

A couple of evenings. The wing is a matter of an hour and a half at most. The fuse a little bit more. Don't let that put you off. It goes together quick and easy.
The longest task is getting servos and controls hooked up. Set aside what time you can and you'll be airborne in no time.
It's worth the effort. You'll be pleased with the result.
Best,
BobbyG

Get a sky scooter pro II. Sounds like everything you're looking for. They fly very well right out of the box. Ailerons, elevator, throttle. 72 mhz components to use on other projects down the road. Very aerobatic. Very fun. Good luck!!

Have you considered an electric sailplane?
I have a Great Planes Spectra. It's available as an ARF (prebuilt).
It doesn't come with a great motor but you can put a good on in it.

RE: 3rd Plane w/ Ailerons???
Well, I now have a wall in my basement lined with boxes of airplanes. Some are too intimidating to build, others are too advanced for me to fly. All are due to my impulse buying problem.
In response to Bobby Gee... I love this plane and will not be sending it back, but I am still in the process of finishing an addition to my house and my hobby room in bassment looks more like a tool shed. Plus my wife has is having a hard time with me spending time on these #$@%&**% planes and I still don't have a roof on yet. That's why I drink. As for the SmoothE...in good time.
To Gargoyle, I wish I caught you yesterday before I ordered the Estarter and went with the Cessna.
It looks like a really nicely done plane. I like GWS and have alot of matching components but not to thrilled about the overall fit, finish or durability. Especially the glued in motor mount that destroys the whole fuse in a minor nose dive.
That Cessna looks awesome man. But between the Estarter and SmoothE I am Tapped out for the week. And hopefully after I get good at the SmoothE< I can fly one of the p51s or Formosa that are leaning up against the wall (hidden from the wife).
Thanks again Guys...I love this site!

MORE ADVANCED PLANES
After you master a starter plane, you can move on to one of these more
aerobatic and 3D flying electrics. Here are a few planes that would be lots
of fun and would represent a real challenge. Most have videos associated with
