my custom firebird landing gear
okay, i got tired of my plastic squeaky wheels so i made some new landing gear for my plane. i used 1" foam wheels and some piano wire and the caps from my old gear and some epoxy to hold it on. to bend the piano wire. i used a vice and some pliers and in the end, it all worked out. here are some pictures.

RE: my custom firebird landing gear
wow those wheels sure are squeaky aren't they? They don't handle well on concrete either. How many times have you flown your scout? Mine has all of the bangs and dents on it. And there is the dried mud on the rubber nose. (I love that thing!) I just chucked the wheels because I'm only belly landing right now.
