Default Is torque a problem at takeoff?

My Aerobird seems to be trimmed and boom ok. It wants to turn left only at ground or hand launched. Once it is turned right to correct flight path and 20 feet up it seems to handle fine. Half power and glide in landings are straight and stay straight.
Is this from the force of the motor and prop{Torque} ? or am I not seeing something.
Note ; The wing has been repaired with packing tape , but seemed to favor left at takeoff even at first flights. I have laid the wing across a level rod and balanced it.
Almost all fights are still wind just before dusk.

I have thought about putting the trim control on the tx to the right then center it when up. Should I have to do this. Thanx for al your input. I have learned alot from everyone here the last 3 weeks.Thank you for helping make my new hobby successful

Sounds like it could be torque at higher power settings at slow speed. Take it up, try to slow it down, and then give it full power and see if it wants to go left.

Many planes require some right rudder on take-off. I have some warbirds that require full right rudder deflection on the ground and then fly straight once airborn without any rudder offset.

With an Aerobird, it is hard to say if it is torque or just your natural wrist action twisting it on release much like a football spiral.

My ABC wants to turn to the left during rolling take-offs, and once the tail gets some lift its straightens up. My girlfriend (and me) like to curved take off.

For what it's worth guys, full size airplanes has the same torque. It is caused by the wind from the prop swirling around the plane and pushing the vertical stabilizer to the side. As the airplane gains speed the relative wind is more from the front of the plane so less side pressure. Do not trim to get rid of this, just give it a little rudder until underway.
