Default Easystar skid protection

Hello All,
Just finished putting my new easystar together yesterday and today it's raining. Go figure. The club that I belong to has an asphalt strip and the grass around it is pretty high. Another member flies an easystar and he's got two pieces of carbon fiber epoxied to the bottom where it comes in contact with the ground. I just wanted to see what all the rest of the easystar pilots that have to land on hard surfaces are doing to protect thier models. So..what say you?

Peace
M.D

Default RE: Easystar skid protection

I land in grass and just use clear packing tape to protect from grass stains, etc.

A flat carbon fiber piece will probably do the trick of protecting the bottom.
