Default Soldering onto pc boards

Is this a bad idea to begin with? Anything I should keep in mind? Im pretty good when it comes to soldering, but Im afraid that damage to the electronics will occur.

Just make sure that you watch how hot the electronics get. A high wattage, soldering iron keeps the surrounding areas from getting too hot. But, even if you think that you are good, make sure that you practice on some crappy ciruit boards first. But, you should be fine. It is very scary at first, but once you get the hang of it, you will be an ace. Just remember though, mind the heat.
