LiPo Batt's first charge Question
Hey guys,
This is my first foray into electrics... putting together a foamy with a 3S 900mAh LiPo and an Extreme Flight Torque 30T/980 motor with CC Thunderbird 18 ESC for power.
I think I've got most of the stuff figured out, just wondering what would be the best way to do the initial charge on the LiPo battery. My batt has the center tap which gives access to each of the 3 individual cells in addition to the series main output pigtail.
Would it be best to charge each cell individually the first time through the center tap or is it OK to charge the pack through the series pigtail?
Thanks!

RE: LiPo Batt's first charge Question
You should be ok for the first few times with the single series connection, as lipos are usually, and should be in balance from the factory to start off with.
I have heard of one case where they were out of balance though, so don't take my word for it.
All my lipos have been in balance from the start though.
Check each tap with a multimeter regularly to be sure though if in doubt.
I check mine every 2 or 3 charges.
I have had to re-balance mine once so far after 5 charges / discharges.
