Default hand launching technique

What is the technique for hand launching an electric plane such as a Formosa?

There are many ways. I have about 150W of power in my Formosa and I generally do a javelin style over head toss. I do not throw hard but it is a throw and it is at a slightly upward angle. I get the motor turning before the toss but full power goes on after the plane leaves my hand.

Others do the underhand thing but I think that needs a pretty good power/weight ratio.

I launch my stock Formosa and brushless Formosa the same way. Hold the fuse behind the wing and toss it as outlined above, firm toss, wings level, over the head, slightly up. The only difference I'd make is to go to full power with the brushed version before the toss.

And into the wind, of course!

I launched mine the "other" way, holding the plane right behind the canopy. Look at the picture a bit down on [link=http://www.modellflynytt.no/articles.php?articleId=113&page=3]this page[/link], which shows me launching my Formosa.
This is from my review of the Formosa on our norwegian web, so don`t expect to understand the text
