dx6 servo & slow stick
Hello everyone
I'm very new to the sport and I'm putting together my second plane. My first plane was a firebird commander 2 which was a great first plane. I'm currently putting together a slow stick with a dx6 spread spectrum receiver but I have a small problem with the servos. The servos that come with the dx6 are very small, sub-micro I believe. The holes for screws on the servos don't align with the brackets on the slow stick servo mounts. The little tab on the servos where the screw holes are not long enough to line up with the servo mount holes. How have others solved this problem? Or am I missing something here?
Thanks for the help.

RE: dx6 servo & slow stick
There is a set of holes that they will align with. I used screws from the bottom of the servo tray threading into the servo. Mine are aprox .25" from the beam.
You will love that radio.

I use Hitec 55's on my SS which are rated for about 15oz of torque on 4.8V and they work fine. They are also too small to align properly with the holes, so I pushed the brackets against the servo, pushed them apart just a hair, marked where the holes should be and then drilled them out with a small bit.
If you drill one out and then install the servo, it may be easier to drill out the second hole with the servo installed, just to make sure you get it aligned properly.

RE: dx6 servo & slow stick
I would like to buy a Slow Stick and a Spectrum DX6 Radio. Could some one list everything I will need to get it flying.
I have a Triton Jr charger and a 14 amp power supply. ( I understand i will have to buy a LiPo balancer if I go with the Lipos.)
Thanks
