Need your idea on something
Ok i am mostly a boat person but i have been givin a bunch of planes that are half finshed and 1 that is totaly finshed, just needing a radio. It is a .40 and takes a 4 channel radio and has a wind span of 56 inches and belive it is a trainer. But anyways i don't want to fly that plane rite away (i don't think i am ready seeing that i have never flown rc planes before and don't wana wrek it). So do u think this plane is ok to start with? It is the 4 channel verison and i would like to get to flying 4 channel as fast as I can. So what do you think?

31thundercat::Start with a high-wing trainer, I've gone to e-power on all my planes now but still give the gassers a chunk every now an then, try a GWS slow-stick or an eazy-star, if your go gas a sig Kadet would be my first choice, Heres a pix of my kadet thats been fly'in for well over twenty years and my paddern planes the same model as yours (I think) your bub, scoooper

Thundercat, Just a little advise, it is considered bad form to post in several forums. This is the same post you have in the Electric General forum.

If you will be learning with an instructor, the plane that you have should be OK. If you will be learning on your own, put it away and get yourself a good beginner's electric park flyer. Compared to a beginner's park flyer, your plane is big, heavy, difficult to contol (as any low wing plane), dangerous and will not stand up to the inevitable crashes that beginner's go thru.
Consider the HobbyZone SuperCub for your first plane. Its a terrific beginner's plane that also looks good. Backyard Flyers Magazine called it "The Perfect Beginner Plane".
