Default Radio Problem?

Hi all,
I'm new to the forum and also to Flying. I've recently bought a Hobbyzone Firebird Freedom which flys very nicely. I've read some rather negative things about this plane but I must say I've had none of the wing tip stall problems like others have. Anyway on to my problem...

I've noticed recently with my Freedom that when I turn the throttle up on the radio that the elevators also move upward a bit. When I turn the throttle off the elevators return to a neutral position. I can trim the upward elevator out once in flight to compensate for this but i'd like to know why it's happening. The batteries in the radio are new.
The plane has had a couple of rough landings but no real crunches. Hoping someone can give me some ideas on how to rectify this.

Jon.

Took the plane back back to my LHS and they swapped it over for a new one.

That is why we love our local hobby stores.
