RE: power supply
Fred, not sure on your tv power supply, it might or it might not. The thing most use is an old PC power supply. They can be rigged quite easily to run both 12v and 5v.
And often you can get em for nothing from PC repair places.

RE: power supply
Fred -
I am not familiar with the flat screen power supply you are referring to.
As GG says, many people, including me, are using a surplus personal computer power supply for our R/C chargers. These work well, but you may have to perform some minor modifications on them before they can be used.
If you want an off-the-shelf solution, simply get a DC power supply. These plug into a wall socket and provide the DC voltage needed by your charger. Here's one example from Radio Shack:

Don't be alarmed by the 13.8 voltage specification of the power supply. That is the approximate voltage of a fully-charged automobile battery, which this sort of power supply is designed to replicate.
The Radio Shack power supply is neither the best or the cheapest DC power supply. They are widely available from many different vendors. Do a web search for 13.8V DC power supply, and you will find many alternatives.
