Battery charger

Ok i got this nice lil GWS battery charger the MC2002 Peak Charger. My question is I remember back when I was a kid I used my dad's lawn mower battery charger and hooked it up to my rc car battery charger. Does anyone know of a AC adapter for the chargers now days or it is a good idea to get one of the AC chargers from say Sears and hook the ends together that way I dont have to go out to the car when I am home??

RE: Battery charger

Try using an old psu [power supply] out of a computer.
I use a OLD 200 watt one that I found in the corner of my garage:D
Just chop the 5v and 3v wires off to leave the 12v ready to use:)

I found the new ones to be too complicated, with many wires having to be joined up to get it to work[:@]
so try to get a old[working]one if you can[8D]

it's a lot cheaper doing it this way than buying a dedicated unit.
As many computer stores will give away the old psu's for nothing! :D
just ask nicely:eek:

RE: Battery charger

I use one of the auto jump start packs in my shop to run my 12 V chargers. I have run two at once while I had the jump strat pack charging at the same time.

And I have used it to jump cars, and power otehr 12V items. I also use it with a 110 converter to run small AC stuff outside.

Very handy - $30-$40
