How's the Easy Star RTF?
Hi, I was thinking about getting a Easy Star. I just starting into the hobby. I'm thinking of getting the RTF version so I don't screw things up. How is it? How's the stock motor, esc, battery and the charger. Is it better to just get the kit and buy the stuff seperately? Should I just go into LiPo right away. If so, what stuff should I be getting. THanks

Great first plane and many experience flyers buy them as keep in the car planes because you can fly it as a parkflyer, an electric launched sailplane or a slope glider. It does it all!
Easy Star - RTF - $170 - Space CL1 Believe this goes easily back in the box to keep in the car Super tough foam. Comes with 72 MHz radio in the US. Good parkflyer and a good glider Radio in RTF package can be used to fly other planes http://www.hobbypeople.net/gallery/240025.asp Easy Star - ARF - Add you own radio gear http://www.hobbypeople.net/gallery/240009.asp Amazing information site for easy star http://www.mpx-easystar.de/ Videos http://plawner.org/video/easygo.wmv http://plawner.org/video/easystar.wmv Mods, upgrades and more http://www.mpx-easystar.de/ Adding ailerons http://www.rcgroups.com/forums/showt...8&goto=newpost |

The easystar flies best with 8 cells. a lot of the RTF kits only include a 6 cell pack.

RE: How's the Easy Star RTF?
Stockdaddy is right. The RTF comes with an 6 cell pack. It will fly the plane fine in under 5 mph winds, but it struggles with anything ore than that. 7 cells would be my recommended minimum pack and 8 cells is best.
YOu can go Lipoly, but the stock motor really doesn't like going to 11 volts. |
