Hobby Zone Super Cub prep

Does anyone recommend using packing tape to reinforce the leading edge of the wings on a Super Cub?
Thanks in advance

Yes 100% Positivly Absolutly, I would also add some on the side of the fuselage at the tail.

Certainly won't hurt as long as you don't pile it on.  One layer is all you need.  Just make sure it is well stuck and smooth.  No wrinkles.</p>

I also found out (the hard way) that it's important to put packing tape on the inside of the cowl. That way if you nose in, it's not an explosion of plastic cowling. Looks a bit dramatic and a tad disheartening too.

I destroyed my cowl last night when flying mine for the first time ever. I nosed into the ground, but the SC kept flying for several more flights, and I improved significantly before it became too dark to fly safely. I'm off to the hobby store this afternoon to replace the cowl.
