converting funtanaS90 to electric
I took my funtana to the NEAT FAIR this past weekend with the notion of selling it but then realized I can probably convert it from a gas sucking set up to an electric.Much of the research I did revealed funtanaS90's being made electric 4 or 5 years earlier.I am not sure of the motor to use but also the batteries have gotten way better .I think I can get a big enough motor and use one lipo not 2 or more.
the goal is to have the plane fly aerobatics and some 3D.I am thinking of swapping out the landing gear to carbon and even substitute a carbon tube.beyond that theres not much else I can do reduce weight but the funtana is already a super lite airframe. The covering is somewhat beat up so I think I'll re -skin the wings and fuse and leave the pants off .
I am hoping someone in here has done this recently and is flying one happily and share the set up..
