Conversions for .10 size engines... ? Suggestions...?
I've got an OS LA.10 and a Thunder Tiger GP .10 Can anyone suggest an electric ARF model to convert? I was thinking that one of the little AEROWORKS profile might be a good candidate.

Wing Span 37"
Wing Area 375 Sq. In.
Length 35.5"
Weight 16 - 17 ounces (ready to fly)

It looks like a good candidate. Where do you get those? How much? I have a few .10's to use up too. Not too much out there. The LA will easily outdo the TT. I had a TT in a plane and it would hardly take of. The LA and FP were fine.

Tower Hobbies sells them as well as AeroWorks. They also have a smaller SU-31 that looks like a .10 would fly.

I would think it would be a real easy conversion.

I wasn't notified, that was last year? Usually a 400 electric is like an .049, but that one looks ok for a .10. That would be about $100 to get up here. (different country) It looks like the motor could fit similarly to the electric in the picture. Maybe a piece of aluminum for a doubler or something, as the glows vibrate more than electrics.

Didn't know that these planes existed. Thanks for posting. Just got through ordering one of each. Got a variety of .10 size engines for the Extra, and a Norvel .074 for the SU. Weights listed for each are very lite for such generous wing area. ......... George K.
