Default P51 guillows to gas

the 400 series guillows p51 says to use a 020 cox engine i only have a 49, if i beef up the structure maybe change the wood type in the front to a stronger type and beef up the wings and bottom of the fuselage will this work out

With today's lightweight rc equipment and lips batteries, you can still use an .020 and it will fly fine. It was overpowered as a free fight .020 powered plane and you wouldn't need to do much to strengthen it except a lightweight wing joiner.
