RE: CDI gr8flyer55
Hi
I recommend 2SC5707. For specific DC-DC inverter transistor.
CCFL inverters are used. Try a search on Google.(CCFL inverters 2SC5707-Royer converter)
I CCFL inverter, to solve the ignition power.
I rewound to the transformer (EE19 ferrite core).
Primary coil not replace.
Secondary coil replace : 100 turns (0.25 copper wire).
I tell you, Royer, push pull inverter is more suitable.
Project is not over yet.
More on that later.

RE: CDI gr8flyer55
ok nyemi tnx .I'm try 2SC5707.But first a short video
This is my ignation board and works perfectly.but at higher rpm(12000-20000) bd911 very hot.Solves this problem, perhaps 2sc5707.

RE: CDI gr8flyer55
Ustra, at low rpm, off time for transistor is long enough to not allow it to get hot. At high rpm 12,000 - 20,000 , on time is longer and makes the transistor run hotter. A heatsink will help on the transistor to run cooler. Also higher amperage rating of the 2sc5707 may help. Higher rpm draws more current, and makes more heat.

Hi ustura_kemal
I congratulate you.The engine is working well.
Bravo.
I ask. You use one ignition curve?
2T-4T, McCulloch?
Not a few, software, 12669 rpm limit?
I create new software, easy starting, a higher rpm limit.
I send you, if you want.

Well Mr. Fly42, as I see it, you are complaining about something not working that you haven't even built and tried!
If you need proof that it works, watch my video of it actually working before you say it doesn't work. As for the project itself, it is a ''do it yourself'' project. Which in turn means, you gather the parts, you make the circuit board, you program the chip with the provided hex file, then and ONLY then, you decide if it is not the project to fit your needs.
If free is not cheap enough for you, then I would strongly suggest that you go out and spend your money on a commercially available ignition that fills your needs. I know you can't get RcExel to change a curve for your engine because you think it won't work without ever trying it.
I stand my ground in defense of everyone participating in this DIY project.

RE: CDI gr8flyer55
Hi Bill,
Yes, I would like another box of goodies!!
The last box was sure a surprise when I got it. I finished trouble shooting everything and have repaired them all. That undertaking was like a box filled with Christmas toys!
Anything you want to send would be great.
Thanks Bill !

This is the 12,669 rpm version and has the easy start advance edited. If anyone needs a higher rpm limit hex file I'll change it and upload a link to that one also. This version works very well for all of my converted engines. Easy flip starts and great transition from low to high rpm.
Let me know if the link is ok.
