Default More Ryobi questions

are the ryobi engines with a compression relief valve any good for conversion? should it be removed and replaced with
a bolt or something?
i rolled the dice again and got another twin ring 4 port engine from harbor freight they are one sale for 49.99right now. but it has this valve on the cylinder head ,other than the valve its identical to my other engine
I wanted to build another ryobi as the first was such fun and so i can tinker a little. what size carb should i be running? engine #1 is stock 2 needle from old engine i scrapped. engine #2 is a single needle. and not good for rc application ive been told .where can i get carb at reasonable price ?
can any one give me advice on porting. i dont want to start grinding without some kind of target.
for instance the exhaust port is round on top two corners can i square these up to gain exhaust flow\volume? will it help
with power production? etc.
what should exhaust duration be for a performance gain? engine#1 is 135degrees is that adequate?
i just want to make as much power as is reasonable. nothing exotic , just good ,cheep (INEXPENSIVE) reliable power.
this engine conversion (sickness?) thing is as much a hobby as the building and flying aspect and is almost as satisfying.
thanks in advance fj5
