What Carb??

RE: What Carb??
Good advice. I will check the schematics to be sure the models I am looking at have two needles.
Edit - I am looking at a WT-416 model that has two needles and a 13.5mm venturi. It also looks to have the primer bulb on it, is that an issue for aircraft use? I can't see why, but you never know...
Thanks,
Mark

RE: What Carb??
They are useable. I prefer without the primer bulb as it looks a little nicer and is one less thing to go wrong. Sometimes the bulb dries out and cracks. I've had the bulb do that on my weedeater twice now....
Another point is that if you ever want to run a remote pulse line, you can't do it with a primer bulb carb.

I just got back to my supercharger project and I got a bit more done heres some pics of the compresser, the belt drive for the supercharger and porting & polishing. Im working on a electronic adjustable rev limiter for safety resons I'm also going to start my own thread soon.

RE: What Carb??
I have a ported 32cc engine and im wondering if a SDC carb is to big for my engine it's also supercharged so as long as the air fuel ratio is even it should be good right but of course it has a limit so will the SDC carb work for my 32cc engine?

RE: What Carb??
If the plan is to put the blower on top of the carb I would try and experiment first. Make an adapter to hook up a leaf blower of shop vac exhaust to a velocity stack. This would be a quick easy way to add a couple pounds of positive pressure to the intake side.
My intution says that it will mess up the carb function. If the plan is to add a blower between the carb and intake manifold it may do some interesting things. It seems to me the carb would function properly. It also seems to me that putting positive pressure in the crankcase would be self limiting on how much extra fuel air mix gets into the jug. Intution says that you would get none. You might purg more of the gas from the previous igntion cycle. That may be a good thing. But, only to a point. Carefull porting schemes are pretty good at optimising the flow of new air mix and purging burned fuel/air mix.
Putting a blower on a 4- stroke intrugues me. That was a cool post on that earlier. If a scheme to do this at a reasonable weight is figured out, we may have a "fix" for our low output 4-strokes.
